It’s astounding to believe that we are nearing the end of not just another month but another season. With stunning weather over a month ago, the summer kicked off in style with huge anthems and as we prepare for the chaotic even that is Reading & Leeds festival this weekend, we are constantly reminded of 2017’s glorious releases from artists across the line up. Leading the way this week is a rock band that can only be described as titanic. Having headlined Reading & Leeds themselves in 2014, Queens of the Stone Age release their highly anticipated seventh album Villains upon a heap of rumours that they are going to perform a secret set at Reading today.
The last few months have been both intense and exciting. Given the variety of music festivals and commitments, alongside some technical issues, you may have noticed a delay in our weekly music highlights. This week, we are delighted to inform everyone that we are back up and running, up to date with everything that’s been happening and ready for what’s around the corner. As we move further into the year, we start to think about our highlights so far. Many of the artists we’ve featured so far have a claim to 2017 but perhaps none other than the artist responsible for this week’s track of the week. Here are our Tracks of the Week with in depth reviews.
Needless to say, it’s been an incredibly dynamic few weeks for us her at The Music Radar UK. Travelling the length of both the country and the continent, we’ve been on a rollercoaster ride of festivals, album releases and new singles and this week finally sees us almost back to full speed. Leading yet another stunning list of new songs is Avicii, who makes a stunning return with the Rita Ora featured track Lonely Together. Queens of the Stone Age look set to take over 2017 with their second release of the year in track The Evil Has Landed.
A huge list of new releases were given to us this week, highlighting the quality of both artists and producers that we currently have. With the heat of May continuing, some of the tracks we’ve highlighted are perfect for a May barbecue whilst others are just beautiful to relax to. We can’t wait to give you more of the highlights of 2017 so far but in the meantime here are our Tracks of the Week with in depth reviews.
As we approach the summer, it seems as if celebrations are in order.
