The Leicester stadium giants triumphantly return on a joyous and uplifting sixth album whilst declaring themselves as the “saviours of guitar rock.”
No one could ever have predicted the quality of new music that we received last week but luckily are able to keep this staggering run of excellent releases going this week with another star studded releases schedule. Leading the way this week are LCD Soundsystem who return for the first time since 2014. The James Murphy led indie icons release two tracks in call the police and american dream. It’s also a huge week for One Direction fans as both Harry Styles and Niall Horan release new tracks.
After a brilliant first quarter to the year, April has had a lot to live up to and it’s safe to say that this week’s selection of new music has certainly done that and with more huge artists set to return soon, this year is only going to get better. After last week brought us a plenitude of brilliant new music, this week’s new music releases always had a hard task to replicate the same quality but somehow it has. Lana Del Rey leads the week’s releases with Lust for Life, a duet with The Weeknd whilst Paramore return with Hard Times.
