2017 is certainly becoming a year to remember for the music industry. Sensational tracks mixed with startling comebacks and rising stars have really shown everyone the diversity and talent that remain’s around the world. This week’s list of brilliant new music is led by former TV star and now global icon Miley Cyrus who returns for the first time since 2015 with new track Malibu.
Following on from last week’s mammoth list of sensational releases was always going to be a challenge but yet again, there are some big standout tracks which look set to take the world by storm. Yet again, there are some much welcomed returns from artists we have missed over the last few years but also some artists that are starting their quest for eternal dominance. No one could ever have predicted the quality of new music that we received last week but luckily are able to keep this staggering run of excellent releases going this week with another star studded releases schedule. Leading the way this week are LCD Soundsystem who return for the first time since 2014. The James Murphy led indie icons release two tracks in call the police and american dream. It’s also a huge week for One Direction fans as both Harry Styles and Niall Horan release new tracks.
This week’s music releases were dominated by highly anticipated new albums from the likes of The Chainsmokers, Father John Misty, The Big Moon and many more but that doesn’t take any credit away from the callable of new singles. Their are continuous surges towards excellence from many returning artists whilst new musicians are slowly breaking their way through into the spotlight. There are specific dates in the year that people remember as being key in terms of music releases and today sees the first huge release date with big album and single releases. The Chainsmokers release their hugely anticipated debut album Memories…Do Not Open whilst alternative cult star Father John Misty releases album Pure Comedy.
