An interesting third week of 2017 sees very few big name releases. At first glance, we thought that this weeks new releases were nowhere near that of the last two weeks but with closer inspection, it’s paved the way for many new artists to step into the limelight. Here are our tracks of the week alongside in depth reviews:
After an incredible first two weeks of 2017, we arrive at a slight plateau this week in terms of big music releases. Nevertheless there are some standouts to note and not surprisingly, Donald Trump’s inauguration cued the release of many politically motivated songs.
Belgium’s Rock Werchter festival announced yesterday that Lorde, James Blake and The Lumineers will be appearing at the 2017 edition of the festival. Future Islands and Dropkick Murphys were also announced to be playing the event on 29th June – 2nd July.
Isle of Wight Festival revealed their second wave of acts for the June festival in Newport, Isle of Wight with English rock band Kaiser Chiefs and legends Texas joining the festival later this year.
In the last few minutes, Boardmasters Festival in Cornwall have announced the first wave of acts for the 2017 edition of the festival with the return of Jamiroquai to headline the Saturday of the festival.
