The Release Radar 27/10/17: Franz Ferdinand, Clean Bandit, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Plan B, Morrissey and many more

As October comes to an end, we’re full of anticipation for the Halloween weekend as well as the start of November. It’s astonishing to think that we’ve been running for nearly ten months already. It’s one of the truest cliche’s around but time really does fly when you’re doing the things you love, and for us, being able to review some of the best new music around has been an absolute pleasure. Closing October in style this week is the brilliant Selena Gomez, who teams up with superstar DJ Marshmello on latest single Wolves whilst the stunning Plan B brings out Heartbeat.

This week is a real treat for UK music fans, especially pop lovers. One of pop’s biggest groups Clean Bandit team up with the sensational rising star Julia Michaels for new song I Miss You. Sam Smith continues with his comeback with Burning whilst Paloma Faith brings out Guilty. DJ Snake returns with a collaboration with Max Frost called Broken Summer.

The mighty Franz Ferdinand return with their first new single since 2014 in Always Ascending whilst former Smiths frontman and music icon Morrissey releases his second single of the year in I Wish You Were Lonely. Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds release their second track of the year called Fort Knox whilst Sweden’s First Aid Kit bring out new song Postcard.

Alan Walker teams up with Noah Cyrus on All Falls Down whilst the brilliant Kygo collaborates with John Newman on Never Let You Go. Yungen, one of the artists who has truly lit up 2017, releases new single All Night which features Mr Eazi. The brilliant KURUPT FM release new single Suttin Like That whilst Grime’s latest star Nadia Rose brings out Big Woman.

The stunning Lucy Rose releases a new song this week, called End Up Here. Tom Speight, one of our rising stars of 2017, releases his latest single called Waiting whilst Melis releases Holding Hands. Ezra Furman brings out Love You So Bad whilst Eliza and the Bear finally release another single ahead of their second album, this time called Hell. The stunning Novo Amor teams up with Ed Tullett on Terraform and Anteros release new single Bonnie.

Aside from the spectacular list of new singles released today, there are a few records to keep you entertained this weekend as well. Stereophonics release their tenth record in Scream Above the Sounds. Former American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson releases her eighth studio album in Meaning of Life whilst MØ releases the When I Was Young EP.
