The Release Radar: 14/04/17

Nobody can precisely predict when artists will return to the fore but so far in 2017 we’ve been treated to the return of so many great artists. This week sees the highly anticipated third album release of Kendrick Lamar, with DAMN. plus the return of rock giants Royal Blood, who release Lights Out, the first single from their upcoming second album.

The Joe Jonas fronted DNCE make a return with Kissing Strangers, a collaboration with the ever demanded Nicki Minaj whereas US rock titans Linkin Park continue their obscure switch in direction with Good Goodbye, a unique collaboration with rappers Pusha T and Stormzy.

Frank Ocean continues his rise to the top by enlisting Jay-Z and Tyler. The Creator on Biking, whilst grime fans can rejoice with I Win, the latest collaboration between Lethal Bizzle and Skepta. Shakka and Frisco release track Rollin’ and WSTRN make a return with Social featuring MoStack.
The legendary Fleetwood Mac members Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie team up for duet In My World whilst R&B legends TLC make a return with Snoop Dogg on Way Back. The return of icons continues with blink-182, who release Can’t get You More Pregnant.

Noah Cyrus, sister of Miley, releases her anticipated single Stay Together whilst the ever brilliant Alessia Cara releases The Other Side. Indie slacker Mac DeMarco releases another track from his forthcoming album with On The Level and the gender fluid duo of PWR BTTM release LOL. Blood Red Shoes make a return with Eye to Eye and Fyfe releases Belong which enlists the help of Kimbra.

Aside from Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN., album releases this week come from Tinie Tempah with YOUTH and John Mayer with The search for Everything. Indie singer songwriter Will Joseph Cook releases his debut album Sweet Dreamer whilst Dermot Kennedy releases the Doves & Ravens EP.
