The Release Radar: 07/04/17

There are specific dates in the year that people remember as being key in terms of music releases and today sees the first huge release date with big album and single releases. The Chainsmokers release their hugely anticipated debut album Memories…Do Not Open whilst alternative cult star Father John Misty releases album Pure Comedy.

Harry Styles releases his debut single as a solo artist with track Sign of the Times. Rapper Tinie Tempah teams up for a surprising collaboration with Jake Bugg on Find Me whilst alternative pop star Halsey returns with track Now or Never. The Damon Albarn fronted Gorillaz release the fifth track from their upcoming album with Let Me Out, a collaboration with Pusha T and Mavis Staples.

Alternative singer songwriter Feist returns with Century, the second track from the forthcoming album Pleasure, which features Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker. Oh Wonder release their second track in two weeks with Lifetimes whilst Banks returns with single Crowded Places.

The Charlatans release Plastic Machinery and Kate Nash returns with Call Me whilst upcoming rock band The Bay Rays release new track Integration.

Unusually, it seems as if this week is dominated by album releases rather than single releases. Alongside The Chainsmokers and Father John Misty’s new albums, there are releases from The Big Moon with debut album Love in the 4th Dimension, Blaenavon with That’s Your Lot and Future Islands with The Far Field. Joey Bada$$ also releases ALL-AMERIKKAN BADA$$.

We hope you enjoy all the new releases that today has given you and we will bring you in depth reviews of our favourite tracks from this week in the coming days.
