New Music Friday in Brief 27/01/17: Major Lazer, James Blunt, Jamiroquai and more

Following last week’s slightly disappointing catalogue of new releases, we are treated to a huge selection of great new music. Major Lazer return with new track Run Up whilst James Blunt returns with his first track since 2014 with track Love Me Better.

Hotly tipped artist and winner of the Brits Critics Choice Award Rag ’n’ Bone Man releases new track Skin. The former Fleet Foxes drummer, Father John Misty, returns with his first new track since last November with the wonderful Pure Comedy. Huge british funk band Jamiroquai return with track Automaton.

Elbow release Gentle Storm, another single from their upcoming album. Nelly Furtado returns to the scene with Cold Hard Truth, whilst Young Fathers also return with T2 Trainspotting track Only God Knows.

Album releases are once again fairly thin with noticeable releases coming from Kehlani and Deaf Havana.

Pop star Zara Larsson, Dua Lipa & Martin Garrix, Circa Waves, Little Comets, The Sherlocks, and Charlie Cunningham all have new releases this week as well. With in depth reviews of our favourite tracks of the week coming soon, we hope you enjoy this weeks selection of new music.
